At MobiliSE's Spring summit: Why Transit Matters, we heard how a robust array of multimodal transportation options moves workforce, improves quality of life and makes the region more attractive for newcomers. We heard about effective transportation advocacy in Milwaukee and nationally, and looked at the future of transporation in our region, including MobiliSE's signature intitive, FlexRide MIlwaukee.

BRT and Beyond: The Future of Transit in SE Wisconsin - June 6 2023
Transit in SE Wisconsin is at a crossroads. There's more regional collaboration on transit than ever before. And, new services like Bus Rapid Transit and on demand programs like FlexRide Milwaukee offer promise.
But transit in our region faces headwinds. A looming fiscal cliff could mean significant cuts to Milwaukee County Transit System, the region's foremost provider of essential fixed route transit. The pandemic has changed commuting patterns, and transit ridership remains below pre-pandemic levels.
