MILWAUKEE LEADERS DISCUSS MULTIMODAL TRANSIT AT 2022 FALL SYMPOSIUM
Thank you to everyone who joined us at our Sept. 28 Fall Symposium, “Hub and Spokes: Building a Strong Milwaukee and Strong Region Through Transportation.”
It was an excellent morning of thought-provoking discussion about the future of multimodal transportation in Milwaukee, the suburbs and beyond.
Conversations led by business, nonprofit and government leaders, who discussed the future of Southeastern Wisconsin’s transportation.
Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson set the stage, discussing the importance of Milwaukee as an economic driver and leader for robust transit and multimodal transit in the region. Replay
Our panel, “The Hub: The Role for Transit in a Thriving Greater Downtown,” explored how transit can lift up Milwaukee’s greater downtown and neighborhoods, and the barriers to doing so. Replay
Milwaukee County Director of Transportation Donna Brown-Martin spoke about the importance of multimodal transit across the county and beyond — and how counties work together to drive solutions, building on the important role transit plays in business. Replay
Our “Connecting Workers with Jobs Through Transit: What’s Next?” panel discussed if and how the transportation needs facing employers across the region are being met. Replay
Our regional transportation panel, “The Spokes: Building a Well-Connected Region Through Transit,” explored opportunities and challenges in front of the region’s multimodal transit platforms. Replay
We closed with remarks from MobiliSE Board Chairwomen Kathy Ehley. Kathy summarized key themes from the event and gave us a call to action. Replay
